Will God forgive a person who had an intimate relationship with a married woman, with the intention of convincing her not to commit suicide, knowing that there was no intercourse, but fearing that he may have committed a forbidden act due to her claim of intercourse, which caused him great regret and fear?

The questioner must make a sincere repentance for his friendship and forbidden relationship with the woman, and cut off this relationship immediately. This is a sin that warrants Allah's punishment, as most of these relationships end in committing forbidden fornication or unlawful enjoyment. He must regret what has passed, cease the relationship, and resolve not to return to it. He should not let Satan cause him to despair of Allah's mercy, even if he has committed immorality. For Allah forgives all sins for whoever repents, believes, and does righteous deeds. He should also increase in good deeds, prayer, and seeking forgiveness, look for righteous companionship, and hasten to legitimate marriage to protect himself.
