Is it permissible for a Muslim to spend the forbidden usurious interest from banks on charitable works, taking into consideration the noble verse, "You will not attain piety until you spend from that which you love," and the noble Hadith, "Indeed, Allah is good and accepts only that which is good"?

It is not permissible to invest money in usurious banks. Whoever does so is committing usury and waging war against Allah. The usurer must repent sincerely, and he is entitled only to his principal. As for the usurious profits, they must be disposed of by spending them on charitable projects and for the benefit of Muslims, with the intention of getting rid of them, not with the intention of earning reward. It is not permissible to destroy them or return them to the bank. The aim of this is to dispose of the interest for those who are afflicted with it, not to legitimize the forbidden investment.
