What is the ruling on naming restaurants after Hadith scholars, such as: Imam Al-Bukhari Restaurant? And does this diminish the status of the great scholar Al-Bukhari?

There is no objection to naming shops after past scholars, for the default rule concerning things is permissibility unless there is evidence to prove prohibition. Ibn Taymiyyah said: "I do not know of any disagreement among the early scholars that whatever has no evidence for its prohibition is permissible and not restricted." The Permanent Committee has permitted naming charitable organizations, hospitals, and Quranic centers after prominent Muslim figures, such as the Companions, the Tabi'in, and the Imams, considering it among the permissible acts and not an innovation.
