What is the ruling on working as a tobacco seller in a shop, given that the seller is aware of its prohibition and the shop owner is convinced of that and wishes to stop in the future due to financial reasons, and what should be done regarding the shop owner and the customers?

It is obligatory to refrain from selling and buying tobacco, because it falls under the category of assisting in sin and transgression, and consuming people's wealth unlawfully. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression," and "And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly." And the Hadith: "Indeed, when Allah forbids something, He forbids its price." Claims of debt are not an excuse, for lawful sustenance contains blessings, and whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. Everyone must respond to Allah's command and abandon disobedience, and whoever knows the religious ruling must advise and warn.
