Q/ Is it permissible for a Muslim to perform a good deed seeking people's remembrance of him after his death?

It is permissible for a believer to supplicate to Allah Almighty that he leave a righteous legacy after his death, by which he is emulated. Indeed, Abraham (peace be upon him) supplicated to his Lord: "And grant me a reputation of truth among later generations." And Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, We - We give life to the dead, and We record what they have put forth and what they left behind," meaning their deeds that they directly performed and their legacies that they left behind, whether good, then it is good, and if evil, then it is evil, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam will have its reward and the reward of those who act upon it after him, and whoever introduces an evil practice in Islam will bear its burden and the burden of those who act upon it after him."
