What is meant by the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz), and is it the same as the Clear Book (Al-Kitab Al-Mubin) mentioned in Surat Al-An'am, or is it different from it?

The Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz) is the Book in which Allah inscribed the destinies of creation before He created them. It is the Clear Book (Al-Kitab Al-Mubin) mentioned in the Holy Quran, encompassing Allah's knowledge of everything in the universe, from the falling of a leaf to a grain in the darkness of the earth, and everything moist and dry. So, all that exists or will exist is recorded and affirmed therein, with all its details and timing.
