Is it permissible to pray in a police uniform that carries the rank of major and has the drawing of a bird on it, and what is the evidence for that?

The ruling on wearing military insignia that includes an image of an animal has been previously explained. If wearing it is prohibited outside of prayer, then it is even more so prohibited during prayer. However, the prayer is valid if it fulfills its conditions and pillars. It states in the fatwas of the Permanent Committee: "It is not permissible for him to pray in clothes that contain images of living beings, whether human, birds, livestock, or other living beings. Nor is it permissible for a Muslim to wear such clothes outside of prayer. The prayer of one who prays in a garment with images is valid, though there is sin for whoever knows the religious ruling."
