The answer

We ask Allah to heal your relative. We point out that tribulation contains great benefits if the servant is patient and content. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that "nothing averts the divine decree except supplication." What is in the Preserved Tablet does not change, but what is in the scriptures of the angels can change. One should not abandon taking means and supplicating, relying solely on divine decree, for Allah has decreed destinies with their causes, and none knows what is in the Preserved Tablet except Allah.
