Is it permissible to hang Qur’anic verses on walls or in cars? And what should be done with old papers containing unclear Qur’anic verses?

Contemporary scholars differ on the ruling concerning hanging Qur’anic verses on walls. Some, like Sheikh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him), permit it if the intention is for remembrance, admonition, and benefit, and not for using them as amulets. Others, like Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him), forbid it.
