What is the ruling on the Umrah for a woman and her husband who circumambulated six rounds and entered between the Kaaba and the Hijr during the seventh round, then returned to their country?

Circumambulating between the Hijr and the Kaaba is an incomplete and invalid circumambulation (Tawaf), due to the Almighty’s saying: (And let them circumambulate the Ancient House) and the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever performs a deed that is not in accordance with our matter, it will be rejected." Whoever performs Tawaf in this manner must also wear the Ihram, perform Tawaf with the intention of Umrah, perform Sa'i, and then shorten or shave (for men) or shorten (for women) their hair to exit their state of Ihram. As for the prohibitions they committed due to ignorance, there is no sin upon them and no expiation.
