Is it permissible to file down small teeth in order to install ceramic teeth over them?

Hutchinson's teeth are a sign of congenital syphilis. They may be treated by capping the teeth after filing them down, because filing and tooth sharpening are permissible for treatment. It was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he "forbade the namisah (one who plucks eyebrows), the washirah (one who files teeth), the wasilah (one who attaches hair extensions), and the washimah (one who tattoos), except in case of an ailment." This indicates that the prohibition is specific to acts performed for reasons other than illness or defect. However, if the teeth are not defective, it is not permissible to place caps merely for beautification, as this involves the suspicion of the forbidden tooth sharpening (washr) and altering Allah's creation.
