If a woman sees the sign of purity (cessation of menses) before Fajr and becomes aware of it after Fajr, she is obligated to abstain from eating and drinking for the rest of the day, and she must also make up for that day (qada'). However, if the sign of purity appears after Fajr, she is not required to abstain for the rest of the day. If she is uncertain about the exact time of purity, it is estimated to have occurred after Fajr.
