Is it permissible for the wife to stipulate in the marriage contract that her husband not marry another?

The conditions agreed upon in the marriage contract must be fulfilled, such as not expelling the wife from her home or country, or not marrying another woman while married to her. If the husband violates these conditions, the wife has the right to annul the marriage. This is the view of Imam Ahmad and other Companions and Tabi'un, who cite the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, the most worthy of conditions to be fulfilled are those by which you make intimate relations lawful."
