What is the benefit of the Prophet if he is not a Messenger?

The Prophet (Nabi) is one to whom a law (Shar’) was revealed, but he was not commanded to convey it. As for the Messenger (Rasul), he is one to whom a law was revealed, and he was commanded to convey it. The benefit of a Prophet is confined to himself, and a Messenger is superior to a Prophet, and prophethood is superior to sainthood (Wilayah).
