Soiled clothes are purified by washing with water if the substance of the impurity, its taste, and its smell are removed. This applies whether the washing is done conventionally or with an automatic washing machine, as long as the washing is done with pure water and removes the trace of the impurity. Intention is not a condition for removing impurity, because the purpose of it is cleanliness.
