What is the ruling on money gained from defrauding advertisers, and what is the ruling on profits resulting from investing it in a permissible business, and is the remainder of the profits, after disposing of a portion of them, considered permissible to be invested in the same project?

1. It is not permissible to use deception and trickery to earn money from advertisers. Such money is unlawful and must be returned to its rightful owners.

2. If it is not possible to return the money to its owners, then it must be given in charity on their behalf.

3. If unlawful money has been invested and profits were gained from it, then the principal amount and the speculative profit must be returned to its owners, as if the profit were divided between the earner and the owners of the money, similar to a Mudarabah contract.
