How can I overcome my feelings of being lost, lonely, and that life has no meaning, especially with the difficult circumstances surrounding me?
This world is a place of trial and testing, and Paradise is the abode of happiness. If anyone were to be exempt from tribulation, it would be the Prophets. Patience in the face of tribulation raises one's ranks and atones for sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. And indeed, when Allah loves a people, He tests them. So, whoever is pleased, for him is pleasure, and whoever is displeased, for him is displeasure." And he said: "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were a thorn that pricks him, but Allah expiates some of his sins thereby." The believer's affairs are all good; if he is granted ease, he is grateful, and that is good for him; and if he is afflicted with hardship, he is patient, and that is good for him. Distress may also be due to weakness of faith. We were created for the worship of Allah and the cultivation of the earth, so do not let worries distract you from this. To increase your faith: listen to the Quran and reflect upon it, constantly engage in the remembrance of Allah, attend gatherings of knowledge, and befriend righteous girls who cooperate in good deeds, seek knowledge, and invite to uprightness.
