What should I do about my feelings of being lost, disoriented, and unproductive in my life, after I have become "wiped out without a limb or testicles"?

We ask Allah to make what has befallen you an expiation for sins and an elevation in rank, for every tribulation or distress that afflicts a Muslim removes evil deeds and raises their status. Be patient with Allah’s decree with a tranquil heart and a grateful tongue, and know that this is good for you, as long as it does not distract you from Allah. Make your affliction a means of drawing closer to Allah and a way of self-reckoning, transforming the ordeal into a bounty. Remember that the affairs of a believer are all good: if prosperity befalls him, he is grateful, and if adversity befalls him, he is patient. Patience in the face of tribulation necessitates what Allah has prepared for the patient ones. Allah Almighty says: "And give good tidings to the patient, who, when adversity strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided." Look at those who are in a worse condition than you and praise Allah. This world is a house of trial, and the wise person is one who understands its value and that it is a transient passage not worth agonizing over.
