Is it permissible for men to wear colored contact lenses on their eyes?

We regret what contemporary civilization has produced in directing people and youth towards extravagance and away from noble pursuits. A man needs only a little adornment without exaggeration; for he was created for seriousness and work, and his main concern should not be adornment and beautification. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade extravagance in luxury, as narrated by Abu Dawud (4160). Regarding contact lenses: 1. Medical: There is no harm in them for improving vision, provided they do not cause damage. 2. For beautification: A man should not wear them, especially young men, unless his eye color is disfigured (to correct a defect), as excessive beautification is for women.

It should be noted that the lenses should not be in the shape of animal eyes, because likening humans to animals has not been mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah except in the context of dispraise.
