What is the ruling on wearing colored contact lenses in Islam?

Contact lenses are of two types:

1. Medical: Permissible if they are for therapeutic purposes and under the supervision of a specialized female doctor.

2. Cosmetic colored: Their ruling is that of adornment. They are permissible for the husband, and for others with conditions: that they do not cause fitna (temptation/strife), that they are not harmful, that they do not involve deception, and that there is no extravagance in purchasing them.
