The answer

It is recommended for someone whose family did not perform ' for them to do it for themselves, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did after he was sent as a prophet. It is permissible to combine the intention of 'aqiqah with the intention of drawing closer to Allah, improving one's condition, and being blessed with a righteous husband, as this falls under seeking intercession through good deeds. Scholars have explicitly stated the permissibility of combining two acts of worship with a single intention if they are intertwined and fulfill their intended purpose. An example of this is someone who is in a state of (major ritual impurity) and wishes to perform for Friday prayer; one ghusl suffices if he intends both together. Or, if one of them is not an end in itself, such as the greeting of the mosque prayer combined with the two rak'ahs before Fajr prayer. There is no harm in seeking Allah's bounty along with worship, as indicated by the noble verse: "There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord."
