What is the ruling on intentionally abandoning prayer, and does it entail expulsion from the home or resting place?

Two detailed fatwas have preceded regarding the ruling on one who abandons prayer. As for expelling him from the house, it depends on the benefit: if it deters him from abandoning prayer and makes him repent, then he should be expelled. But if it increases his stubbornness and evil, then he should not be expelled; rather, he should be advised and reminded of Allah and His punishment for one who abandons prayer.
