The answer

Among the titles of scholars are: Amir al-Mu'minin in Hadith (such as al-Bukhari and Muslim), al-Hafiz (for one who has collected sound and weak hadiths and possesses knowledge of chains of transmission and the circumstances of narrators, like Ibn Kathir), al-Muhaddith (who is of a lower rank than al-Hafiz), and al-Musnid (for one who merely heard hadiths and transmitted them without knowledge of their sciences).
