What is the ruling of the Shari'ah on claiming the deceased husband's share of the rent of his father's house, and does the mother have a share in the rent of the house that the children inherited from her?

The wife receives one-eighth due to the existence of a lineal descendant (heir). The remainder goes to the children, with the male receiving the share of two females.

It is permissible for the adult, mature heirs to agree on dividing the inheritance in any manner, or to rent out the house and benefit from its rent.

It is permissible to demand the deceased husband's share from his father's house. The matter of the minors must be brought before the Sharia court.

The mother of the husband receives one-sixth (approximately 16.66%).

Matters of inheritance must be brought before the Sharia courts for investigation and preservation of rights, and not to suffice with a mere fatwa (religious legal opinion).
