Is a man's marriage to another woman considered an injustice to his first wife, who endured poverty with him, after Allah has enriched him from His bounty?

Marrying a second wife does not inherently wrong the first wife. Polygyny itself is not an injustice; rather, injustice occurs when the husband fails to fulfill the wife's rights. If Allah has blessed the husband with wealth and he is capable of being just, then there is no harm in him marrying another woman, as long as he does not treat the first wife poorly or deny her virtues.

The disputes that occur between co-wives are natural, similar to what might happen among members of a single family, and they do not prevent the realization of the desired benefits from a second marriage. As for the second wife sharing the husband's heart or wealth, sustenance is guaranteed by Allah, and the heart can accommodate affection for more than one wife, just as it can accommodate more than one child.

The Quran permitted polygyny for the benefit of women, preventing them from being deprived of marriage; for the benefit of men, ensuring their capabilities are not idled; and for the benefit of the Ummah, increasing its numbers.

Abundance of wealth can be a cause for temptation, and a husband's consideration of satisfying his desires through a lawful marriage is commendable. It helps him control his desires and actions. Therefore, a husband who intends to marry a second or third wife should not be censured, as long as it benefits his religion.
