The default ruling for forehead reduction surgeries is prohibition, unless the size of the forehead is clearly disfigured. In such a case, there is no harm in performing a surgical operation to restore it to its natural size, because this is considered the removal of a defect, not a quest for excessive beauty. The operation should be performed by a female doctor if possible.
