Can a person marry a girl he loved in this world but did not marry, and she married someone else—will he marry her in Paradise?

A man's love for a woman may enter his heart without any forbidden pursuit, and he is not to be blamed for it. However, if it was through a forbidden pursuit, repentance is obligatory. Then, if he is able to marry her, he should do so. If he cannot, he should divert his thoughts from her, especially if the woman has married someone else. It is deplorable for him to remain attached to her or to hope that she will be his wife in Paradise, as this involves envying her husband and wishing for their separation.

The general principle is that a woman in Paradise will be with her last husband in this world, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Any woman whose husband dies and she marries after him, she will be with her last husband." So, if she had only one husband and they both enter Paradise, she will be with him.

Fear Allah, do not envy your brother, and do not covet his wife. Occupy yourself with what benefits you, and marry someone who will make you forget your love for her. Ask Allah for Paradise and salvation from the Fire. It is astonishing how low your ambition is if your motivation for Paradise is to win a woman. Is Paradise, whose expanse is the heavens and the earth, and in which there is what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived, not a sufficient motivator for you to seek it and work for it? Let your motivation be the vision of the Lord, the prophets, and the truthful, and salvation from punishment.
