Is it permissible to take from an inherited father's money if there is a doubt concerning it?

If there is doubt about the lawfulness or unlawfulness of inherited wealth, it does not necessitate abandoning it. However, refraining from taking it out of caution, piety, and to avoid doubtful matters is religiously مطلوب [desirable], as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever avoids doubtful matters has absolved his religion and his honor. And whoever falls into doubtful matters is like a shepherd grazing around a sanctuary, he is about to enter it." And his saying: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt." However, if its unlawfulness is certain, the answer is detailed in Fatwa No. 34686.
