Visiting graves should be for remembering the state of their inhabitants and supplicating for them, not for eating, drinking, or talking. Eating, drinking, laughing, and excessive talking at graves are disliked. Setting up collective feasts and bringing food to graves for consumption there is forbidden, as it contradicts the purpose of the visit, which is contemplation and remembrance of the Hereafter.
