What is the ruling on supplicating with the following phrase: "O Allah, Your knowledge of my condition spares me from asking You"?

The saying "O Allah, Your knowledge of my condition spares me from asking You" has no basis and is taken from a saying attributed to Ibrahim (peace be upon him) which is false. What is authentically established in the Sahih is that Ibrahim said, "Sufficient for me is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs," when he was thrown into the fire. Supplication (du'a) is an act of worship commanded by Allah, and the supplications of the prophets are mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Abandoning it is a turning away from His worship, the Most High.
