What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a father who curses and insults his daughters for the most trivial reasons, controls them and prevents them from socializing with people, refuses their marriage, and ridicules some religious matters, despite being a man of prayer?

Filial piety is obligatory even if a parent acts wrongly or unjustly, and their ill-treatment does not negate the requirement to treat them with kindness. There is no blame for disliking a parent's actions in one's heart, as this is not within a person's control. However, one must be careful that this dislike does not lead to any ill-treatment. If a father prevents his daughter from marrying a suitable man, attempts should be made to persuade him. If he is not convinced, the matter should be brought before a Sharia judge, or the guardianship can be transferred to the next closest guardian. It is advised to be patient with the father, pray for him, and seek counsel from righteous people for him, especially if he mocks religious matters.
