What is the cure for the spiritual emptiness and intense distress felt by a married, expatriate woman, far from her family and friends, who spends her time on the internet, and lacks the ability to worship, even though her husband is kind but preoccupied with his work?

Communicating with young men is a reprehensible act and a sin. Happiness and tranquility come only through obedience to Allah, whereas sins bequeath desolation and misery. You must repent from these actions, and sincere repentance restores the heart to its closeness and love for Allah. The husband should balance his duties and give everyone their due. It is advised to occupy oneself with beneficial things, to frequently engage in remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and recite the Quran, to associate with righteous women, and to be persistent in supplication (du'a).
