What is the ruling on the method of healing with Ruqyah called "Ithbat al-Bayyinah" (Proof of Evidence), which relies on the principles of "energy sciences," and involves placing the hands on the knees, with the belief that the Qur'an sends its "luminous energy" to expel the "fiery energy" resulting from Jinn and magic, and signs appear on the fingers indicating the type of affliction, in addition to the constriction (tahreej) of the body?

Bio-energy therapy is forbidden and is a form of Eastern paganism. Ruqyah (exorcism/healing through prayer) is to be performed with the Quran, supplications, and remembrance of Allah. Interpreting the effect of the Quran as a luminous energy that chases away fiery energy is a reflection of Eastern pagan philosophies that have no scientific basis; it is a mere conjecture about the unseen. The use of copper rods to measure fiery energy is nothing but charlatanism and sorcery. One must beware of energy therapy in all its forms and from linking legitimate Ruqyah to it.
