How should a latecomer pray regarding audible and inaudible recitation? Should the second and third rak'ahs of Maghrib prayer be recited inaudibly or audibly if the latecomer catches the Imam in the last rak'ah?

The prayer of a latecomer, whether in a quiet or loud prayer, is based on considering what he caught up with the Imam as either the beginning or the end of his prayer. The preponderant view is that what he caught up with is the beginning of his prayer. So, whoever catches one rak'ah of Maghrib prayer should recite aloud in the second rak'ah that follows, then say the tashahhud, and perform the third rak'ah quietly.
