Lowering one's garment below the ankles, if not out of arrogance, is permissible according to the majority of scholars. However, some scholars hold that lowering the garment is absolutely forbidden, and this is the we adopt.

But if you believe it is forbidden, then you should not sew garments that are lowered, because sewing in that case would be assisting in what you yourself believe to be forbidden, and assisting in what is forbidden is itself forbidden.
Indeed, jurists have stated that whoever commits an act that they believe to be forbidden, even if it is a matter of scholarly disagreement, it is a sin, and persistent engagement in it leads to being considered a fasiq (transgressor), and their testimony is rejected. So, whoever persists in what they believe to be forbidden, even if it is a matter of disagreement, is deemed a fasiq. If they do not persist, it is considered a minor sin.
