1 min readAlso available in العربية

Ways to strengthen faith include: maintaining acts of obedience, staying away from forbidden things, associating with the righteous, frequently reciting and pondering the Qur’an, reading the prophetic Sunnah, and adhering to the remembrance of Allah and supplication.

As for resisting desires, it is achieved by strengthening faith, strengthening the deterrent fear of Allah and His watchful presence, remembering the virtue of striving against oneself, based on the words of Allah Almighty: "And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good" (Al-Ankabut: 69), adhering to a righteous environment, realizing the ill effects of sin, feeling true shyness before Allah by guarding the head and what it contains and the stomach and what it holds, remembering death and decay, and abandoning worldly adornments for those who desire the Hereafter. It is recommended to read the book "Al-Jawab Al-Kafi li man sa'ala 'an Al-Dawa' Al-Shafi" by Ibn Al-Qayyim.
