This relationship between a man and an unrelated woman is forbidden and sinful because it encompasses what Allah has forbidden, such as looking, touching, seclusion, or speaking in a soft, alluring manner. Satan beautifies such relationships. It is obligatory to repent to Allah Almighty, to believe in the corruption of this act, to abandon it, to regret it, and to recall the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to the one who sought his permission to commit adultery: "Would you like it for your mother?" He replied: "No, by Allah..." As for proposing to her, there is no objection after verifying her uprightness and her repentance from this relationship.
