Is it permissible to conclude a marriage contract with a woman if the husband has not seen her, or has seen her only once fleetingly, relying on what he has heard about her from close relatives, and what is the Sharīʿah's position on this marriage after childbirth?

If a man's legal marriage contract to a woman is concluded with the permission of her guardian and the presence of witnesses, then she is his wife. He must treat her with kindness, and her children by him are his children, and he must raise them well according to the beliefs and morals of Islam. For a man to see the woman he wishes to marry is desirable, but it is not a condition for the validity of the marriage.
