How can one dispose of usurious gains? Should they be spent on buying Islamic law books for the benefit of students of knowledge, or on paying household bills and car insurance?

It is not permissible to benefit from usurious gains by purchasing books, paying electricity and water bills, or car insurance expenses, because that is not considered a disposal of ill-gotten wealth. Rather, disposal is by spending it on the interests of the Muslims.
