Does the recurring coincidence of the questioner encountering the word "divorce" in his daily life, after suspecting he uttered an indirect divorce statement to his wife, carry a specific significance?

The accidental utterance of the word "divorce" has no effect, and what goes through one's mind regarding this is a whisper (waswasah) that should not be yielded to. Divorce does not occur through doubt in its utterance or in the fulfillment of the condition it was made dependent upon, because the default state is the continuation of the marriage (nikah). Al-Majd Ibn Taymiyyah said: "If one doubts in the divorce, or in its condition, they should build upon the certainty of the marriage." And Al-Ruhaibani said: "Divorce is not binding due to doubt in it, or doubt in what the divorce was made contingent upon." Therefore, one must turn away from these whispers and beware of indulging them.
