Who is the noble Companion Ibn Al-Daghna?

Ibn al-Dughunnah, who granted protection to Abu Bakr before the Hijrah, is Al-Harith ibn Yazid (or, as some say, Malik), and "al-Dughunnah" is his mother's name. He was from the tribe of Al-Qarah and the chief of the Al-Ahabeesh. There is also another man named Rabi'ah ibn Rafi', who is also known as Ibn al-Dughunnah. He was from the Banu Sulaym tribe and a Companion, who witnessed Hunayn and killed Durayd ibn Al-Sammah. The conversion of Al-Harith ibn Yazid to Islam has not been explicitly stated.
