How does a human eat and drink during prayer?

Intentionally eating or drinking during prayer invalidates it by consensus, regardless of whether the amount eaten is small or large, and whether it is actual food or merely chewing without anything reaching the stomach. However, if the eating or drinking was due to forgetfulness or ignorance, the prayer is not invalidated unless the amount was considered significant by custom.
