Who is the author of the book "Al-Ikhtiyar" in the Hanafi school of thought?

The book "Al-Ikhtiyar li Ta'lil al-Mukhtar" was authored by Majd al-Din Abu al-Fadl, Abdullah ibn Mahmud ibn Mawdud al-Mawsili al-Baldaji. He was a Hanafi jurist born in Mosul. He traveled to Damascus, became a judge in Kufa, then settled in Baghdad as a teacher, where he passed away. He lived between the years 599 and 683 AH.
