Is the Udhiyah obligatory upon a young Muslim man residing in France for study, who works and earns a good salary, and is unmarried? And what is the ruling on purchasing Udhiyah that has been slaughtered by a butcher in France?

The person who is financially independent and has ample wealth should offer a sacrifice (Udhiyah), whether married or unmarried. Meat slaughtered in a butchery does not substitute for the Udhiyah. It is permissible for someone whose circumstances are not conducive to slaughtering the Udhiyah themselves to appoint someone to sacrifice on their behalf in their own country or in any Muslim country.
