The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that the Ummah would divide into 73 sects, only one of which would be saved. This is "the Group" (Al-Jama'ah) which follows what the Prophet and his Companions were upon in belief and action. Some sects deviated in various aspects, such as Tawhid (monotheism), Iman (faith), the ruling on theit perpetrator of major sins, divine decree (Qada' and Qadar), the Qur'an, and the Companions. These sects deviated from the straight path.
