Why was Al-Muwatta' given this name?

Imam Malik's book was named "Al-Muwatta" because it was prepared, paved, and made easy, as Malik arranged it and made it readily accessible. It is also said that the name came from "al-muwata'ah" (agreement), as Malik presented his book to seventy jurists in Medina, and they all agreed with him on it.
