Is the Hashemite feeling of superiority over those who are not from the Household of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt), and their refusal to mix or intermarry with them, considered arrogance and ignorance (Jahiliyyah), despite Allah Almighty’s saying: "And We made you peoples and tribes"?

The origin of humankind is one, and they were created into nations and tribes for the sake of acquaintance, not for boasting. The most honorable in the sight of Allah is the most righteous. Islam elevates a person through their deeds, regardless of their lineage. Boasting about lineage is one of the major sins, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it, as stated in the hadith: "Indeed, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah) and its boasting about ancestors," and the hadith: "Four things from the affairs of the Jahiliyyah will not be abandoned by my Ummah: boasting about merits, slandering lineages." A Muslim must avoid belittling their Muslim brother, for what matters is piety, not lineage. And being a descendant of the Household of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt) does not imply superiority; rather, it necessitates gratitude to Allah and humility.
