It is permissible to treat diseases with lawful or permissible medicines, and it is not permissible to treat with unlawful things like alcohol, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) sayings: "Allah has not sent down any disease except that He has also sent down its cure," and "For every disease there is a cure," and "Seek treatment, but do not seek treatment with unlawful things," and "Indeed, Allah has not made your cure in what He has forbidden to you."
