My wife has been divorced three times and is three months pregnant. She threatened to abort the fetus if I informed her of the divorce. I am perplexed as to whether to tell her, leading her to abort the fetus, which is murder, or lie to her, which would be adultery and a sin. Knowing that I advised her that abortion is forbidden, but she refused, what should I do?

All praise is due to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and companions. To proceed:

Since the third divorce has occurred, she is irrevocably divorced from you with a major separation, and it is not permissible for you to treat her as a wife. The solution is to deny the occurrence of the third divorce until she delivers her child, and traveling can be used as a stratagem for this. If she miscarries, the sin is upon her, with the necessity of advising and admonishing her through righteous women or her relatives to prevent her from doing so.
