Is abortion permissible in the third month of pregnancy if the wife does not take care of herself or her husband, and has a bad temper, while she refuses to have an abortion?

Abortion is not permissible unless the continuation of the pregnancy poses a definite danger to the mother's life. It is not lawful for the father to order his wife to abort the pregnancy due to marital discord, nor is it permissible for the wife to obey him in aborting it. The remedy for marital discord is mutual understanding between the spouses, identifying the causes of the discord, and striving to eliminate them. If the causes are due to the wife's shortcomings, it should be addressed with advice, and if that does not work, wise individuals should intervene to reconcile. If reconciliation is not possible, then divorce is the last resort. Marital life is straightened by patience and overlooking mistakes. Allah Almighty says: "And live with them honorably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it much good." And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Let no believing man despise a believing woman; if he dislikes one characteristic in her, he will be pleased with another."
